I've had the BKP Nailbomb, War Pig, Painkiller 7 set, and Holy Diver, and none of them really did it for me. I wouldn't mind trying the Aftermath, tho.
Right now, aside from my beloved Alt8, my two favorite new finds are the www.smitspickups.com "Dirty Boy" and the www.wolfetone.com Blisterbucker. The "Dirty Boy" is based on the Gibson Dirty Fingers, and is pretty thick and ballsy. The Blisterbucker has that late 80's thrash tone - think early Century Media bands - down. Very woody. Both offer exceptional clarity, and since they are handwound, can be tweaked to your taste. Both Kevin Smith and Wolfe are very helpful and offer excellent customer service.
Both are also less pricey than BKP.![]()

The blisterbucker looks to have the same EQ as the BK Miracleman.

BTW everyone, I have also this bright, jangly sounding grubisa flying V with a reverse scimitar headstock, and to make soun closer to my black V I replaced the PA TB2 Distortion with the Invader and it did the trick......

BTW did you try Alternative 8¿? is not as dark as invader nor bright as Distortion

wow, you are having a hard time finding the right one man!
did you try different heights with the invader?

Don't let the description fool ya. It's actually a pretty middy pickup. I've talked about it with Wolfe. It has a slight dip in the low mids, for clarity, but plenty of high mids for woody cut. I found the Timbre Wolf to be more scooped than the Blisterbucker.
I love me some mids - part of the reason I use the Alt 8 myself. I'll try to get some clips of the Blisterbucker and Dirty Boy up soon.
Alternative 8 is tighter than Invader in my opinion and really aggressive, magnets just colour tone, they are definetly not the main source. Otherwise this:

would sound the same as this:

Both Alnico II magnets.

Cole Clark Tele - BKP A bomb set
ET guitars Katana 7 - Cpig set

How about trying Dimebucker with BMP? Maybe a EMG 81 (many hate actives, many hate EMGs, but they usually sound nice for trash). I think you should given a chance to actives. AHB3 should worth a shot too. If want passives, then try PATB-2, SH-10 and SH-12. There is some video in a post shows that SH-10 with ceramics. I think it sounded really nice for trash metal.

It's not overwhelming. It's tight, and certainly gets teh palm mutes going, but I'd say it's more thunk than chunk, if that makes sense. The Alt 8 is fatter, but the Blisterbucker might be more even overall. It kinda reminds me of the Custom Custom, but a bit more clarity and a tad more bass.
It's kinda funny, I'd been playing it for a bit, and actually said to Wolfe "I don't know how it can sound scooped and mid heavy at the same time." But I think he's done a good job of cutting where a lot of mud happens, while keeping where the wood is, if that makes any sense.
Keep in mind that my preference is for tight, percussive, aggressive sounds with not a ton of gain, for cutting through a lot of electronic parts and harmonies. I often need a sound that can fit into a dense mix, not make one guitar sound huge by itself (the Alt 8 and Smits Dirty Boy both have more bass for that sound).
It's hard to describe these things on teh intet00bz, and I'd hate to steer someone towards a $120 pickup they may not like, but call Wolfe, he can tell you more about it, and he has a policy is rewinding stuff till you're happy.
