    Default Disconnecting tbx control?

I'm interested in hearing what my guitar would sound like minus having the tbx in the chain. I feel like when the tbx is turned up all the way (cutting the bass) there's actually a tad more output. Also, it reads higher on my ohm meter so I'm not sure if that's confirming what I'm hearing or is just a coincidence. When it's in the middle indent position (flat), there's more low end but it also doesn't seem to be as "hot". Can I just unsolder the connection from the switch and have the guitar function normally? Thanks!
