yeah I listened to the clips. need to hear em throough a real amp though. those axe fx demos don't sound all that different to me from one to the other. There's small differences but when I swap from my NB set to the warpig on my amp the difference is freaking massive

Interesting combination of wire and magnet. Very ugly though, so, so, ugly. I'm curious about them cause I tried the triple ceramics from an invader in a 59b/A2pro n hybrid and to my surprise it sounded pretty cool. It was EQ balanced and extremely dynamic.

I thought the same thing. Vintage-moderate DCR, with a ceramic magnet? That could be interesting.

One of the most unique BKP pickups yet, in both design and tone. Based of the sound clips, I'm not really liking the bridge (especially in the Progressive clip; not enough grind or depth), but the neck sounds incredible. Really deep with a unique attack. AxeFX or not, BKP has some of the most informative and consistent clips on the web.

So consistent that almost every pickups sounds the same on the modern metal clips be it vintage-PAF or Warpig.

I just hope thay start making those BlackHawks in white, becasue the sound and look promising.

That's what happens when you use that much gain...

But even still, you can here the differences in the pickups better than any other company website, you just gotta use some nice headphones or everything will sound the same.

Doing direct to digital sound clips is the best way to audition pickups.

The signal path is about as short as it can get. In recording, you want the shortest signal path as possible for the maximum audio fidelity.

I'd rather hear the guitar+pickup+digital preamp

    vs.

    guitar+pickup+preamp+power amp+speakers+cabinet+microphone+mic placement+room+microphone preamp

I disagree. I truly believe and experianced that the ultimate test for any pickup is straight into a valve amp

There is another tutorial vid by BKP showing the Alnico Bomb vs the C Bomb, which is what I will be purchasing as soon as I have the money....

Yeah I saw that not too long ago...

Ideally I would want a warpig, but alas, since my guitar of choice is the les paul, I don't think it would work too well
