Aiming a shotgun: for skeet , or hunting deer.
Not if it's a sawed off with what we've coined the term, "antichoke". reaming or grinding the last 1/4" of the barrel. That my friend, is just; point & squeeze
Yes, people that don't have a specific reason to carry, imo don't need to carry! Punto!!!

The number of legally owned guns in the US has no effect on the number of illegally owned guns or their use in crime.
There's anything we can do about it at this point.
If I posted an anti gun thread it would get deleted as political.
Oh, wait, that one's true.

It is possible that mankind is on the threshold of a golden age; but, if so, it will be necessary first to slay the dragon that guards the door, and this dragon is religion.
--Bertrand Russell
People who rob and murder are known for their meticulous observance of gun laws.

I hate gun analogies.
To counter yours - I think that's exactly what you're saying. That when they're misused, that's what happens.
Guns were made for that exact reason - to kill. Yes, you can use them for hunting, target practice, self defense (of course, the defense is so that you can shoot someone), speed drills, etc... but don't ever confuse them with something that they're not. They're not a "tool".
My least favorite is people comparing them to cars.
To drive a car - you're supposed to have insurance. Have that on your guns? No, you don't.
The number of car accidents every year? Sure, there's tons. There's also tons of cars being actively driven. A gun in a holster or in a safe is NOT the same thing. If there were millions of guns being shot 24-7, there'd be plenty more accidents.
To compare a car to a gun, you have to make the car just as safe. Drain the gas tank, remove the wheels, and lock it in a garage. Then it's comparable to a gun in a safe. If the car is in the driveway, then it's about as safe as a loaded gun, as long as no one touches it.
Of course, I say all this as a gun owner.
"Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished." Isaiah 13:16
"Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." Numbers 31:17-18

I hear you Dom. As a long time Martial artist (and longer time shooter), I do not like when people do not consider those things weapons. They are weapons and they are dangerous and they should always be treated as such.
Any dancing around this issues offends me immensely. "Well we want to make it safe"
BS - Weapons are inherently DANGEROUS. Treat them accordingly and you'll be fine. Get the least bit confused, and you are in trouble.
It's about respect - not fear.

You should love America and its gun laws, you can whine and moan all day about how you don't like them and still have the right to not buy one...awesome isn't it?
Wouldn't it suck if you were forced to own one?
Think about that when you suggest they be taken away from others.
