I'm not sure about US prices on used gear, but I thought the photos were a really poor attempt at selling anything at that price. I didn't think it was possible to really discern it's condition.

Its a pretty good deal. I have a 335 (1985 dot RI) that I bought around 1997 or 98. I paid $1300 for it! $1800 doesn't sound too bad.

But you say you've been asked to find a 335? By who is this for you or a friend?

I played a new red 335 at a store in Dallas yesterday that was a great player and sounded wonderful. Let me know if you're interested in something new and I'll hook you up with a buddy who'll get you the best deal.

I paid $1700 for mine a couple of years ago. Used of course. Looks just like the one in your photos. Have not bought a new guitar in years and years. Why would anyone?
