    A guy at my work said if you take an oxy-acetylene torch and just burn the acetylene so it smokes like crazy you can lay down some pretty nice smoke effects on things, then spray clear over them. I'll try it sometime.

    The temp was under 100F, the goal was not to char, but the smoke tints ( ages) a finish beautifully, no chemicals, no hassle. It took the sheen off of an all too pink guitar body.
