You can have the pickups, amps, etc but you need to set your intonation all wrong too guys!

It's a well known fact that Eddie was an avid wearer of clogs!
You know, being from the Netherlands and all.
Well, when he and Al and the rest of their family crossed
the big ol' blue pond, Ed brought his favorite pair.
Now, since clogs are made of [b]WOOD[/], the tone Ed
had wasn't simply fingers -> guitar... It was actually Eds
clogs that resonated from deep below, so the actual chain
would be...Clogs -> Ed -> Fingers -> Guitar.

One of the things I read about his recorded tone was that they triple tracked it, then EQ'd each track differently - one all bass, one all mids, and one all trebles - then mixed and matched as needed.

I gave it a shot with my own rig a few years ago, and yeah : nice'n'chunky. God only knows if I still have the files - that was six or seven computers ago...
