Half air that ****er

Half air that ****er

I meant that I can half air a tonezone, but not fully air it, so to say.
@Ian ballard: I know that part about magnets, it's just easier and more convenient to talk in terms of 'an a8 will boost output and boost mids'. it's just easier that way.

I'll triple mod the tonezone.
1. Airbuck mod.
2. Steel hex polepieces instead of slugs.
3. Alnico8.
Or just sell it and get an Air Zone.Try to air the Tone Zone, then it becomes an Air Zone which is less compressed, lower output and a bit less low end.
I thought it was funny. Not cool. Out of place in this forum.

selling the tonezone is a PITA. The market here is not like in the USA, guys. Selling and buying pickups, dimarzio's in particular (when it's not a superD!) its TOUGH. When will Americans learn that their way is not always the way abroad? Sorry to say thisI just want a LITTLE bit more brightness and crunch because in general, the tonezone gets the job done, but not all the way.

"Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished." Isaiah 13:16
"Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." Numbers 31:17-18

Easy fix and why i have one in one of my charvels right now!
The best two mods are the lone phantom .01uf cap is series with the TZ red wire or half air the TZ so the the magnet is only makin contact with the screw side and the air gap is on the slug poles(this slug bobbin is the culprit for that extra bass, mids and warmth the TZ has.
I use my TZ half aired cause it sounds ridiculously close to a axis bridge pup in that it has all that clarity, punch, harmonics, sustain that the dimarzio axis has.
the .01uf mod is great but you might as well just use a JB then since they sound VERY CLOSE to one anotherthe half aired TZ does not really sound like the JB buy does have some of the great things of a JB
