    Default SSL-1 VS ANTIQUITY

Hey guys. I'm trying to decide between the ssl-1 and antiquity pickups. can anybody explain to me the main sonic differences between the two? Also I'm trying to recreate one of john frusciante's guitars. he's said that even though his starts are vintage, he uses new "duncan vintage strat pickups" So in my mind he is either using the ssl-1 or the antiquity (60's probably 60's rather than texas version) DOes anybody know which he uses? Or what pickup might sound better for that type of thing. Or honestly what sounds better in general. weather its john frusciante ish or not.
    Thanks guys!

He's got ssl 1's in a couple of his vintage strats. 1 by 'accident' as it was already there, and the other due to a pickup dying.

The ant surfer just sounds like a ssl 1 that has had some time to mellow. If your strat is a tone monster already then maybe you can save some $$.
