I saw them on this tour. It was horrible, no chemistry of any kind between band members. Toss in that Dave looks and acts like a complete twat and you have a joke of a show.

Eddie plays well but there is no fire anymore.

I think calling things off is a good idea.

Get out the fork and stick it in them, VH is done

I saw them in 1980 and was glad I did...Shame to have to go out with possible issues between the members...Don't care for the new release, but still love the early DLR stuff and also alot of the Sammy era stuff..

Sammy is a better overall vocalist, but the sound we all relate to,is the DLR era.

I never listened to them in their first DLR era. I much prefer the Sammy Era but, to be honest, Van Halen isnt an important band to me. The players I am influenced by arent meaningfully influenced by EVH so it is easy for me to shrug and say "so what" to any VH news

I really liked the new album when it came out, but being honest, I haven't listened to it since, well, since it came out really.

Wolfie's a big boy. He should just grab Dave and Ed by their necks and bang their goddam heads together. haha

I saw Van Hagar back when that "Poundcake" album came out...early 90s? Had to sit through opening act Vince Neil (the Motley Crue guy)...who can't sing to save his balls...only to be utterly disappointed by some piss poor playing by EVH.

Steve Stevens rocked, though, and there was a great party after the show so all was not lost.

Since that show, I would have never considered seeing them again...and I really dig Roth era VH.

Let's see Daves been back in the band since 07 , they competed successful tour in 07/08 but had to postpone about a months worth of gigs for unknown reasons. They get there sh$t together and release what I think is a killer cd here in 2012, the tour is steamrolling ahead due to end June 26th but more dates are announced and now they are postponed , unless you had tickets for those postponed gigs I wouldnt sweat it, plus you can see all the current gigs for free on YouTube.

Before we read too much into it, i.e. that they are fighting, drinking, etc., there might be other explanations.

Someone mentioned the possibility of postponing the US dates to play some festival dates in Europe then come back to US venues. That seems to make some since, but time will tell.

Despite being wierd, I don't see Van Halen canceling sold out tour dates even if they HATE each other. If that was the case, why not cancel almost immediately.

I saw them in DC and they seemed to be having a good time (at least on stage) to me. They were great minus DLRs voice being out. However, even that seemed at times like he was unnecessarily screaming at times. Just glad I got to see them do Jamie's Cryin and Hang'em High along with usual tunes.

Was hoping to see them in Baltimore in July. Maybe later (or not). Oh well, back to playing the guitar.

If ya ask me the 5 year contract came up for renewal and terms and egos, taking credit for the reent success, reduced the Mighty Van Halen to ruins AGAIN. think about it they toured in 2007 and then threw this album together that isn't to bad but it is kinda thrown together old riffs reworked or finally recorded as I have read.

    PURE SPECULATION ON MY PART.

Maybe Sammy Hagar isn't to busy.

I didn't catch the tour and my budget thanks me. The new FB might not have been possible. Have not bought the new cd either. I kinda decided a while ago that they had gotten all the money I wanted to give them. I did however buy a $5 copy of Van Halen 2 about a week ago and have been digging that cd with total 1979 flashbacks and renewed interest in that set of songs. You're No Good. Oh the riffs!!

Who knows when these cats will be able to get along. Gotta say that some of Dave's stage antjcs would get very old after to many nights. Check this vid of The Full Bug and watch Dave prance in front of Eddie.

KAPOW!!! And I'm not even that kinda guy.

It is not his middle finger. I think he is telling the side man to turn Ed up as he is looking that way at the side mix desk.

Were you under the impression that the tour came to an abrupt halt?

The new album is good, not great. I listen to it occasionally whenever it pops into a playlist. Until one of the band's publicist comes out and says anything, it's kind of really unknown. Automatically assuming that it's an ego problem within the band is kind of naive. Every official interview that's been posted has constantly stated how well they've been getting a long.
You just never know. For their sake, I hope it is an ego problem or a festival tour or whatever. I'd much rather it be that than one of them falling ill. We've lost too many great musicians as is.
