    Default Downsized Pedalboard

Well, I got really tired of hauling around my homemade 33x17 board... So this is my downsized board, until I get a PedalTrain PT-3.

Yeah, the pedals in my chain are... modded MXR Dyna Comp > Timmy > JHS Morning Glory > Fhusk modded TS9 > Jetter Red Shift > Front of my amp. Then in the effects loop is... Boss TU-2 > MXR Carbon Copy > Boss DD-20 > TC Hall Of Fame.

Nice setup mang! Im in the process of downsizing dramatically. I wish i could get away with putting my pedals close together. I end up hitting knobs and screwing up settings when turning something on.

Haha Yeah I actually haven't played live with this setup yet, since I just wired it all up last night, so we'll see how it goes. I might have to use the very tip of my toe so I don't hit some of the knobs... but I would still rather have to do that than haul around that giant board any longer.

big fan of timmy, i have two.

since i got my first one seven people have been impressed enough to get either tim or timmy. there are a few dealers who have have them fairly regularly, same price as paul charges + shipping so you dont have to wait too long if you dont want to. my buddy got his tim delivered from roxy music in less than a week

You've got almost as many pedals as I do my big board but the small size let you really shrink things down!

Excellent move and some cool pedals. However you have one too many pedals so I think you need to send me the Timmy to gain more space!

    Haha

I've actually got a custom Timmy coming in from Humbucker Music - Paul did a special run for Humbucker in their lovely Surf Green. Only cost $140, so I jumped on it. I'm pretty excited.

Nice board, GK! I once had a gigantic homemade board too, and as awesome as it was:

It was gigantic. So I downsized to a PT-1, and I'm much happier. I had to get a bit creative, but between the effects I have and the ones that are being built/the ones I'm going to buy, I'll have space for everything. Plus, it's super easy to carry, and extremely sturdy.

Yeah, the Timmy is awesome! Its super transparent and it just adds more of what is already there... but better! I use it more as a boost for my amp and other drive pedals. I don't like it with the gain turned past 11 o'clock though, it kind of sounds harsh like that, but all of the lower gain settings are awesome! The Morning Glory doesn't work as good for a boost as the Timmy does, but I like it better as a regular drive pedal than the Timmy, and it has a more usable drive range. The two together are an awesome combo!

Yeah, the Timmy is a sweet pedal. I ended up buying mine used on ebay, but I got a great deal on it. It was only a week old too! The guy had bought the Timmy and the Tim, but decide to keep the Tim. I'm pretty interested in trying out the Tim too.

Yeah, it comes in really handy when you can fit all your main pedals on a small board. This is actually just a little Gator Pedal Tote that I am using for right now. I like it though!

Oh cool! I didn't know they did a special run in a different color. That should be pretty sweet! I think you'll really like the pedal. And thanks dude! Yeah it is just such a pain to carry boards like that around!!! Sure, its really awesome having a huge board, but it is much more practical to have one that you can actually trasnport easily, and you don't have to worry if the car is going to be big enough to fit it. Lol

I believe that Paul Cochrane said that his painter will do custom colors if there's a big enough batch. Humbucker Music bulk ordered a lot of timmy's in their awesome looking Surf Green. Looks like they got a hell of a lot.

These are supposedly all for Humbucker, so for those that want one, you can probably still get one. They don't have them in stock yet, so you have to preorder it, but they won't charge your card until it they ship it, which is nice.

Also - how are you liking your Hall of Fame? I really like mine, but there's a problem - I like a couple of settings so much that I find myself wishing that I could have a footswitchable preset or two. So I sold it tonight and I'll be getting a Strymon Blue Sky

Nice!! Looks like you might have to get a surf green tele to go with the pedal. I LOVE the HOF! And I agree, I wish you could save settings and such... that would be really awesome! I leave it on the church setting most of the time. I have reverb on my amp also, so I can get a standard hall tone out of it, and set the HOF for something different. Dude that Blue Sky should be awesome!!! My friend just got one, but I haven't got to try it out yet. Let me know how you like it when you get it!
