    Default My pedal board (Bored?)

    I went from this:

Fully enclosable, fold down front, removable bottom panel, about 90lbs..

    To this:

Smaller, about 20lbs, what I need, nothing I dont...

Not much, but its mine... Just gotta get the wah adjusted.

Yeah, the old board was a fustercluck.. the new board has one of those under it.. MUCH tidier and lighter.. Also, once Im sure where Im going to keep everything, Ill go with velcro instead of zip ties..

Thanks for the suggestion.! If anyone has any suggestions for a better order or anything, let me know.. Also, I can run this set up 2 ways. Either run the top row into the amp's loop and the bottom to the front, or I run a small line from suppressor to the chorus and then run everything to the front. Depending on what amp and all.

Im not 100% decided on the chorus. And Im not sure if Ill keep the TS since I have the Raptor. May run my Spina modded DS1 instead or something..

You remind me a lot of myself at times with your desire and taste in pedals, and please don't be offended, but it seems like you suffer from the forum gas and to much worrying syndrome!

I spent to much time and money as a result of searching for the 'best way' or a 'better way'... And finally just accepted the fact that I'm gonna sound the same regardless. It was liberating lol.

I know you use higher gain amps, so why two tube screamers? Take the raptor and run with it and don't worry about perfect 808 this or that as you are probably using it as a boost and the 'cork sniffing stuff' get's lost with that anyhow.

You may really love sounds with chorus and such, but is it something you can really utilize or is it something you think you need or want as you see so many on other boards? Same with tremelo and all.

Delay? Does it make u more pissed and make u fidget or does it make u want to play!? Makes me annoyed, but I do love other players that use it properly, I just can't haha! I don't mean to poke, I just notice you and me seem similar in ways. These times are a double edged sword with so many options and so much information. It can be hard not to over think it and remember to play!

And don't sweat the pedal board being perfect, very few gigging musicians I've met and seen have the 'perfect clean board'.

No offense taken.. You are pretty close to spot on. I and a recovering tweakaholic. Always spent more time aquiring guitars and changing pickups and stuff and not enough time playing. Never been a cork sniffer tho.. matter of fact, I kinda like sounding great with lesser known stuff. But, Ive realized this, and know that I got all I need and am trying to play more, thinning the herd a bunch and as you can see, I thinned my board.. had way too many gain pedals and I dropped the flange and trem. So, Im trying. And thats why I mentioned that I may drop the TS too.. The Raptor covers me.

You do realize you can run pretty much all those pedals daisy chained off of one wall wart. You don't need a separate one for each pedal, which is what your old board appeared to have going on.

Yeah, the old board had adapters for every pedal.. the new one has I think one or two one spots on it. MUCH cleaner and lighter! I just wish the daisy chain cords had alil more length between each one

How'd you like the Holy Grail and EQ with your Splawn Bryan?

They're 2 pedals I'm thinking about adding to my rig for the times I'm not using my G-Major for reverb.
Gibson, PRS, Fender, Patrick Eggle, BC Rich, Gordon Smith, Jackson, Ibanez and Home-built Guitars.

Splawn Quick Rod, Soldano SLO Clone, Marshall JCM800, Matamp + old Carlsbro amps, Zilla and Award Session speaker cabs.

Mainly HomeBrew Electronics and G2D FX, plus a few other.

they both work very well! The guy that sold me my Splawn (and many others on the splawn forum) recommended the EQ. And he sold me the Eq with the splawn (cheaper than new). It just adds alittle more nuggets to the mids and thus, more cut and boost..
I love verb, so the grail is great!
