Default FT - Carl Martin Plexitone Prototype - from the SDUGF Giveaway!

I know you guys know this pedal, and I know I don't have to say anything to you about it. I'll provide some pictures and the info I have.

I did not win this originally in the giveaway. I did buy it from the person that did. Included in this package will be the box it was shipped in, two extra op amp chips for switching if you choose to (it's socketed instead of having the chips directly soldered in) and a CM manual. I am not looking to sell because money is not the issue.

The issue is it isn't what I'm looking for. It's a great pedal, but not my sound. I am looking to trade for other pedals (overdrive/distortion to the front). I am open to most suggestions.

Let me know what you have! If you have any questions, inbox me.

I hate to stick my nose in where it doesn't belong and Capo can beat me up if he wants, but......

When I sold this pedal several years ago, the only stipulation I gave was that it stays here in the Seymour Duncan family. It was very cool of Niels(Vashu The Humanoid Typhoon) to offer those pedals up here and I was VERY HONORED that he and his wife picked me for one of them. I really have no say so here, but I will ask that whoever buys this, if you decide that you no longer want it or have to sell it, that it stays with someone here on the board. If nothing else, I will buy it back.

All that being said, it is a very cool pedal. I have every intention of buying another plexitone in the very near future.

I'm ok with this stipulation. This is why I am offering it up here and nowhere else. If I don't find something I like more, I will keep it but I am ok with moving it around the forum a little bit. Thanks for chiming in here!

Also I should apologize for the size of my photos. I resized them on photobucket and when I previewed it, it showed the reasonably sized photos, but I see now that they've reverted to their huge size. I will try to fix it later when I'm at home.

Photos look good here on my end bro! They're good sized, but I don't have to scroll to look at them.

Wow, what a cool piece of equipment. I traded a Plexitone a while back and miss it quite a bit. I wasn't a fan of the bypass with my amp, but man, when it was on -- best distortion pedal I've ever played. Live and learn, I guess.

Wish I had a good pedal or two to trade -- but unless you're looking for an Egnater Tweaker, I'm sol. Best of luck with this!

What are the differences between this and a regular Plexitone? Sounds like a sweet pedal!

This one has a couple of switches you won't find on the regular Plexitone that take a Bass and tone filter in or out of the circuit. I tend to leave them both in the circuit which I believe is how the commercially available plexitone ended up.

Anybody? I'm pretty open minded about what I'd be willing to trade for pedal-wise.

Hmmmm, I'm just throwing ideas out here. I've got a Boss DD-3, and older MXR D+, MXR Classic OD from guitar center. I've got a Fulltone Clyde Standard with the white housing, but I'm not sure I want to part with it yet.

I had the other prototype Plexitone that was given away at the same time. It's never left my pedalboard, just amazing both for the actual pedal and for the generosity of Niels and his wife for the giveaway.

I would also be interested in possibly trading for an m-audio axiom controller.

I should also add guys, based on some trade offers I've gotten, that I am not interested in any ts9/ts808 style or influenced circuit. I already have a fulldrive 2 and a ts9. I'm definitely looking for another flavor.
