    Default Fuchs Overdrive Supreme 30

I searched this forum and didn't find much about this amp. I played through a used 112 combo at GC in Lewisville on Saturday and I was very impressed by the gain channel, it sounded great! I went straight for the instant gratification so I didn't really get to check out the clean channel. 30 watts from 4 6V6's, Accutronics reverb. Sounded great without having to crank it loud enough to kill, did the Dumble overdrive tone extremely well.

Have any of you guys played through or owned a Fuchs and if you have, what did you think? I'm really surprised that I haven't heard more about them.

I saw that one in Lewisville last Thursday but a guy in there wouldn't get off the 5W Marshall before I had to leave.

Give it a shot if you get back by there. It's a great sounding little combo in the gain channel, and I wonder if it's flexible enough to be able to footwitch between a great clean tone and a great solo tone. So many times, you can dial in a great tone for one channel or the other but not both at the same time.

I've had an ODS50 for about 6 years. Actually pulled it out this weekend to make sure it was OK.

Its pretty finicky with my stuff, which is why it was not in my usual rotation. It takes some dialing in. Using it with a Mesa Thiele with EV. Nice compact package, but not as compact as my Mesa MkIV.

Its not my favorite amp, but you can dial some nice tones out of it.

Edit - Tried it for the 1st time tonight with a Badgerplex (Echoplex pre). Wow - on the clean. Now to find a way to power it from a 9v source (CAE MC403). (my adjustables are taken up.) You've got to take your time with this thing to get bliss. Like I said above, Finicky.
