Are you sure you have it right? He posted how you can control your iPhone from a remote device, like a car (mine does this, but in the crappiest way possible). You posted a bunch of stuff about how you can use your Android phone to control other, apparently still imaginary, things. Being able to plug your phone in and control your car isn't anywhere near as useful while driving as being able to plug your phone in and have your car control it.

That was not the only thing he mentioned.
PS; One of many car docking options available.
And that IO unit [ one of two listed - see the other link ] is reference to things real geeks do with phones and Android. A **** load more than you can do with your closed propriatary IOs.
You presumed it was a reference to " car connectivity ".
Although I didn't specifically post about a car dock, I reffered to the docking ability of the A phone.
Music Apps and interfaces are out there and you can run plenty of stuff Via Wi Fi or Blue tooth or the USB port.an accessory specifically made for the Galaxy Nexus, the HDMI Dock is now available to order for $69.99 directly from Samsung with a priority freight fee of $8.95 on top.
Simple desktop access
- Synchronise and charge your Samsung GALAXY Nexus
- View your photos and videos on your compatible TV by connecting through the built-in HDMI out port (HDMI cable sold separately)
- Dock your GALAXY Nexus smartphone in a portrait position and charge your Samsung GALAXY Nexus whilst playing back music, videos and other media types.
You can still order the generic Samsung accessories from them as well such as Bluetooth and Wired handsfree kits

I really didn't intend to get into a pissing contest about what each phone can do - especially about what each phone can do with "real geeks" hacking and soldering.
I can't think of what more I would want to do with the iPhone's IO - I can navigate my music library from my steering wheel, I can read what artist, album and song are playing on my car stereo, I can invoke Siri from my steering wheel and get the phone to do anything that Siri includes, like location aware reminders, creating calendar invites, or simply playing some Little Feat, I can also do much of that wirelessly via Bluetooth, I can put it in any of a million available car docks, speaker docks, TV docks, etc. and control it with them, or even remotes that come with them, and I don't even have to heat up the soldering iron!
If I wanted to control the intensity of an LED on a breadboard surrounded by wires and alligator clips, sure, yeah, I'd go back to Android!

You can do all your above description on a galaxy, everything from voice control to controlling the heat of a soldering iron, and all those other non geeky things you do.
If reffering to other products than " Apple " makes it a pissing contest, I suggest you re read the thread title and OP.
HTC android verses Apple 4S
Your thoughts?

I got all I needed from this thread.
My first world problem ( tear) is over with.
I have enough pros and cons for each device.
No need for you guys to have a pissing contest. I hate both OS companies almost equally as it stands on the software/business practices.
When google and Apple annoys someone who used Red Hat 6/7/8, fedora core 1/2/3, MS 3.1/95/98/ME/2000/XP/VISTA/7, OS 7/8/X. It's pretty bad when Microsoft is the only thing really that I'd really want to use in a smartphone.
FWIW since I really haven't chimed in much:
Google butthurts my privacy feelings with their NSA big brothery bull crap and Apple pisses me off with the leftwing leaning, fashion/social statement-y, it's the hipster equivalent of a white family sticker **** on all the soccer mom cars. You aint getting no tail from princess pixie unless you got an apple with your latte.
This was a pure hardware question. I like the look and feel of an IPHONE and I respect the hardware of HTC devices but rather avoid the Win OS.
Just thought I'd clear the air so everyone would stop whipping out their elitist views and keep their uncut purple headed cocks from being measured because each elitist really doesn't care what the other one stands by.
Both parties will be hardheaded and neutral parties eyes will roll. I appreciate all your views but you guys got a little heated over something silly.
Most of you used an upgrade and got it at discount. No one really cares who's toy is better. I just wanted a cut and dry I use one and I like/hate this.

You expected a thread about Android vs. Apple to be anything but a pissing contest? If you didn't want this to happen, why even make the thread? It's not like this is the first time this has happened or that pretty much everything that's been said hasn't been posted on the internet a million times so far.

I think this forum has a rather deep knowledge in various fields.
Thats why I stay. I respect a bunch of you guys. I didn't make the thread to start a hate thread.

It's my fault for being so simple with my question. I am sorry if you guys got upset at each other because of a thread I started.
If I would have put the effort to say why I was wondering and how I felt about each company it would (could) have been prevented.
I am used to getting people pissed at me. I dont like getting people pissed at one another. The arguing portrayed valid points for each OS. So that was a Silver lining in the black cloud. I got something out of it but I didn't mean to get you guys HAWT.

You said he was wrong, but what you posted had nothing to do with what he was talking about. Now you're changing it so that you're just randomly posting stuff that has nothing to do with what anyone else said. How can he be wrong if what he posted had nothing to do with what you posted? "Technically right" is just as good as "no one cares."

I'll use the logic I do when someone calls my wife an X and she gets upset.
Are you an X?
Then why should it offend you?
Does it offend you when I can you a retard?
Then why should it bother you when someone calls you an x?

Well hell you know what.
It's back open. You two go at it. GV is in another time zone.
Good luck at that.

I'm just pointing out that you're getting all upset to the point of name calling when you're the one that started it all in the first place. If you start a fight do you run away crying when the other person fights back? It's not that I'm offended, I'm just pointing out that you're getting all whiny when you started, intentionally or not, a troll thread and it ends up starting a fight. Every Android vs. iOS thread ever has turned into a fight, why cry about this one doing the exact same thing? I know you'll say you aren't crying about it, which is why I pointed out that you were upset enough to resort to name calling.
