For specific applications I really dig phaser.
For example, I use it on one tune in which I do a "gallop" picking on a heavily muted string in the verses. The phaser is set to a slow swirl.

Looping pedals ( depending on which one). My favorite is an older oberhem Echoplex Digital Pro. Lots of control over the loop, which modern pedals mostly lack.

I used to be more into pedals more than I am now. Nowadays, it's usually some sort of dirt pedal. The old standby is a Tube Screamer, but I also use a boost pedal when I want a little less dirt.

Cleans
Not an effect, but that's the one thing where I chase different "colors," characters, etc.

Two delays
One short, one long
I use them when I play my song
I have three upon my board
You could even say I hoard
Sometimes my song goes on too long
And to get too many repeats of my chord!
Oh, me! Oh, my!
Oh, me! Oh, my!
I try and try and try and try
To keep delay from making you sigh
At times it seems as if I fly!
But that's enough for now, good-by!

Im all about the memory man and fuzzes at the moment. Pretty shoegaze-y

I'm not a big effect person for the most part. However, I do have a love affair with this pedal:
