Stock output pickups and Classic guitars like yours Mr9, through Mesa Rectos, is like 13" tires on a quarter Mile Dragster.
DuuuuummmBBBB! ( well, I think Lamb of God guy uses stock '59's in a classic style guitar with his rectos, but other than that). A Stock Strat with Mesa Rectifier head is ludicrous.
You don't need another head, you need a bad ass metal guitar for the Recto.

I have a Schecter C-1 Limited Edition loaded with an EMG 81 in the bridge and an SAV in the neck tuned to D standard. Is that metal enough for you?

FWIW though, I actually prefer low output pickups for high gain. They stay more defined and less compressed than their high output brethren.
