Mine did that for a while and I sent Evan a message, calling him names and derogatory terms and telling him I was going to break both his legs if it didn't get fixed. He fixed it right away. You should try that.

All those bits are powered by javascript. What browser are you using?

You can find out what's up by figuring out how to enable and pull up the error console.

vBulletin uses "progressive enhancement" meaning you can work around it by disabling javascript and reloading the page. You will get a version that loads a new page for every function rather than trying to pop up menus.

    Again, what browser?

Sounds like a problem with your Internet's timing belt.

You'll need to open up your router and tighten that up a bit.

Mine does the same thing, so I've just been right clicking and opening them in another tab.

I'll run this by our web guys and see if they can find what's going on. In the meantime, the more details you can add about your systems and the nature of the problem, the better.

Naw. That ploy only worked that one time...

Are these problems still existing for those of you who were having them?

OK, no replies. I'm calling this "false alarm." This is what our service provider recommended:

"I would recommend having them try Google Chrome before we do anything, though I suspect it works well on Internet Explore just based on the number of users not reporting issues."

The only problem I've been having is the forum running slow. I've had the "problem" of having to open notifications and other things in another tab, but that's a browser issue, not a forum thing.

    I'm running Windows7 and Firefox.

FWIW, the search function has never worked well for me lol.

i disabled the script and it seemed to fix the problems i was having. since me and my wife share a laptop. we have to change the setting everytime. i do not know much about computer stuff. it just started giving me problems one day. thaks to everyone who tried to help though i appreciate it. i am thinking about downloading a new browser for me to use set like i want since she likes IE so much.

Try Google Chrome - it's snappy and renders tricky webpages nicely.

i run firefox. the only issue i've ever had is, occasionally, whatever script determines if i've read new posts on a thread or not stops working and every threads remains bold as if there are still new posts in it. i think that's something involving updates on my end though. i'm notoriously bad for restarting my computer (or even my browser) after installing updates, but it's rare that linux updates require it.

That's not a client-side issue. Try disabling Javascript and loading the forum.
