    Default Suhr 80s guitars!

    I LOVE it that 80s type metal is coming back and shred guitars are coming back too. I cant believe that Suhr has 80s guitars out now.. One is hideous IMO and then they have the bengal tiger one...Droool....

    Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

    Saw those on TGP earlier. The drip one is kind of meh - they should've done a swirl instead; bengal tiger is like something out of a cheap porno. But, being Suhr, they're probably killer players.
    For him who struck thy foreign string,
    I ween this heart hath ceased to care;
    Then why dost thou such feelings bring
    To my sad spirit - old Guitar?

    Even so, Guitar, thy magic tone
    Hath moved the tear and waked the sigh;
    Hath bid the ancient torrent moan
    Although its very source is dry.

    I love Suhr but those are some very uninspired finishes. Hoping for some better offerings in this vein.

    If they made it a continous production run (rather than the 50 of each finish) with some normal finishes (would love to see a trans red one) than I would love one, and I usually don't like strat and super-strat shapes!

    Yeah and they radius the floyd nut properly to! Wait, no they don't! And for what those guitars cost, they GD well should. That sh*t is fine on a $500 asian schecter, unacceptable on a multi thousand dollar US made guitar. First time I had to go back and do that, as well as touch up the fretwork on a "plekked" suhr by hand to make it right, I lost respect. Way over priced for what they are and the qc that goes into them.

    Nothing special about these guitars except the matching pedal and the 50 pieces. It's their modern model with specs you order anytime you want. They are a custom company and they will do most things if you can pay the price.

    Those are... ugly. I love 80's but... damn... those look really cheap.

    Ok, I love Suhr guitars and would kill to own one but I dunno....copying a Steve Vai finish and a George Lynch finish? I think it would be so much better if they came out with some wild colours or single humbucker pickup/1 volume. That to me would be more 80's then copying Ibanez and ESP.
    I understand though what they are going for marketing and business wise, and people who like Suhr and also like Vai or Lynch would snap those up....but to me the guitars don't stand out on their own, they are copies.

    I just really want the tiger striped Riot pedal. That thing kicks ass!

    Thought of the same thing. I couldn't afford the guita and the pedal comes with the guitar. I hope they would release a different finish for the Riot aside from the magenta and black.

    The drip finish looks like the James Tyler swirl finishes, which, combined with the James Tyler headstock, are abominations. The Steve Vai swirls weren't as bad.

    If anything the videos make me want to get by Charvel Pro Mod Plekked, add Suhr Aldridge pickups and buy one of those Riot pedals

    I like the drip one... Needs more blue/purple.

    I do like that. I also like that they're using the same design that Fernandes used on Scott Ian's guitar from the 80's (before his Jackson endorsement).
