i think i might've told this story once one here ...
my oldest son was interested in all things outerspace from his toddler days ... so i would think of things to tell him about or relay something in the news from time to time ... when he was about 3 or 4 i was telling him about some supernova picture we were looking at - probably from the hubble space telescope or something - and i used the colloquial and certainly non-technical phrase 'out there in the middle of space' ... he interrupted my sentence without even blinking and said 'but daddy, space is infinite - there is no middle'

Mine sing the scooby doo theme song in unison while I beam with pride. They sing a mean Kung foo panda song too (jack black version).



My daughter had never been on a boat before, and we had a cruise booked in late March. The week before, we kept telling her she was going on a biiiiig boat. The day before we left, my wife called me from work at the hospital, and I put her on speaker with my daughter, who had just turned three at the time. I said, "Abigail, where are we going tomorrow?" She answered back just like she had been prompted, "On a biiiiiig boat!" But the follow up was what got me. "Daddy, are we gonna need oars?"

right now, every truck is a dump truck, which isn't particularly amazing but is kind of cute. oh and they all have sirens, like a fire truck. but they're still dump trucks.
he hasn't said anything really profound yet...the intricacies of sentence construction haven't fallen into place in his head yet, which is a little behind for his age, but i'm not really concerned. he's inquisitive and curious and spot-on with everything else, he's just not a talker. he'll get there.

the tunnel at the playground is one of his favorites. this was a particularly windy day last month, before he'd gotten his summer buzz-cut.

Not much, but I thought it was cute when Mr. Snackers covered up Daisy today when she was laying down. He's always goofing with the cat or dog. I thought they wouldn't like it, but I think they're starting to like the attention. She nornally doesn't sit still too long, but she stayed like that for quite awhile.
As usual, it looks like a Hot Wheels convention exploded in the living room.

i guess i was more kinda blown away that a preschooler performed that kind of instantaneous analysis and abilty to grasp 'scale' .. i thought it was awesome
i also kinda knew that i better start sockin extra $$ away for college 'cause community college wasnt gonna cut it![]()

Aww maybe one day I'll have a kid.
Our church has to many pansy toddlers. Not a single butthole in the bunch.



My son was salutatorian of his HS class, his speech was fantastic. He's absolutely ace'ing college and already has his plans for after graduation and he just finished his sophmore year. He's a great person and very courageous too which makes it all come together.
My daughter is a beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful young woman. In college up in NE. I am so proud of the person she is, she loves working with young children, I am sure it'll be her lifes work.
Both my kids inspire me to be a better person.

Yes, yes they do! They are truly the joy of my life.
My babies are just awesome fun. There are so many things I can relate. My oldest is 3 so the stuff she says is just INSANE alot of the time and funny as all hell. We were eating lunch once and she looked my legs and said "Daddy, your legs are hairy, why don't you shave them?" LOL! She had seen mom shaving her legs and figured, why don't guys do it?
Emma also remembers her dreams like my wife does. She woke up one morning and asked me if the house is still cracked? I said of course not and asked her if she dreamed about that. She said yes and that we fell through the floor and mommy was crying and a ton more. I was like holy crap. One time she woke up and told me that all the monsters were gone out of the house and that she was fighting them. She made claws and went "RAWWRRRR" Just too funny.
It's great to crank my little amp in my study and play some Pantera or Metallica and they bop around to it. My oldest will do some kind of crazy dance and bang her head. My youngest will flap her arms and smile. (She's only 9 months) I'll get some pics up soon.
