Talking Alnico 2 Pro neck = Chocolate milkshake!

Man this thing is smooth. Love it!!

I'm pairing it with a Screamin' Demon in the bridge.

Great complement, the Demon is crisp, aggressive and defined, and in contrast the A2Pro is warm, keeps the right amount of treble,
the bass is very composed and doesn't feel thin or boomy, and the low mids/mids give a lot of body to solos.
The output between both is very balanced as well, the Demon is just a touch hotter.
The A2Pro is a great pickup! The dynamics are so different as well, first time with a A2 pickup and something's different, it feels bouncy, spongy and very responsive.

My guitar's all mahogany with a maple cap, and it's actually well on the bright side. The A2Pro tames that real well.

I really got it right with this combination. I first tried with a UOA5 magnet in the Demon, but it was thin in the bass and the output was too low.
(In the neck it was awesome like that though...)
The stock A5 is more than fine at the bridge.

    Thanks, Seymour!!

I've got a very similar setup. Demon in the bridge and Slash APH-2 neck. Awesome combo. I honestly feel it's the best combo I've used.

Hey Diego, am I remembering wrong? I thought i remembered you saying the Demon was great with UOA5. Was that in a different guitar, or used as a neck pickup or something? I was planning on trying the UOA5 Demon based on what you said.

I have a Slash Alnico II Pro Bridge in the neck and I love it. Such a nice, fat sound.

Well, it's a 10K pickup, so it's bound to be a bit weak with a softer magnet.
It does sound good but it's a more vintage sound, didn't really gel with what I want now.

    Give it a shot man!
