Doing stuff you regret when drunk

You know, like getting a bit drunk and buying a new guitar on ebay, then waking up and wondering how you're going to hide it from the wife.


Well, my band has parted ways with out singer and second guitarist, but last night, while a little drunk, I said we'd play a set at a local charity gig. So I will have to play all the guitar parts and sing lead, which I've never done before. And I suck at remembering lyrics, even to the songs I wrote myself.

I guess I'd better really start practicing.

yeah but this isnt like shagging your best friends old lady when your drunk. This one could turn out good. Might even be fun atleast it will be a learning expierence.

You can always do what a singer I used to play with did when he forgot the lyrics give your best cat howl holler and reach for your beer cause your too parched to sing.

We'll only be doing 20 minutes or so, and three songs will be our own so no one will even know if I fluff the lyrics.
The other two will probably be "Creeping Death" and "Symphony of Destruction" though.......

Man that may end up being a good move! Never know. I was think more like stuff that is stupid. Like the time I set my self in fire with gasoline while drunk. Or riding a skateboard naked thru down town. Or when I told my ex wife ( wife at the time) her best friend was hot and I would totally f her.

Yeah ironic thing was we divorced cause I caught my "best friend" going down on her. Little did I know he did me a favor and I would hug that sob if he was here right now.

One time I was sitting here and a box came to the door via UPS...
In it was two Easton Arrow/Elk T-shirts and an Easton arrow HAt....
I had absolutley NO recollection of placing any order.... so I had to look into it. Turns out 4 nights previous I was hammered on Rum and had ordered it from some random website... Thats scary!

Don't sweat the lines so much as the first word of each line...that whole tune's delivery is based on the first word of each line being emphasized, so just memorize them in order as you practice them, and the rest of the line will come to you onstage.

I have also hidden guitars from the wife many years ago. You gotta use the "hold for pickup" option when they ship. That way you can get to UPS or Fed Ex when you have time to sneak it in.

Since the age that I started drinking, I was drunk everytime I did something stupid. I can't remember a time that I was sober and did something completely idiotic.
