    Default Help with new amp

So last night I was jamming using my Vypyr 30 amp, I had the distortion on and all other effects off. I hit the low E then muted it and there was a SSHHHH sound like a snare (or the ocean) that followed. Well this was the straw that broke the camels back. I went to Sam Ash today and traded it for a used Crate GX-600 head. I've always loved Crate so 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'.

I get the thing home and looked up the owners manual to get an idea of what's what. I know I will sound like I've never plugged a guitar in before, but can someone translate the 3 choices for me?

    #3 says 'line in'
    #20 says '-6dB input'
    #21 says '0dB input'

Which one do I use? I don't want to blow it up, I've only had it for 5 minutes.

None of them will blow it up. The line in jack connects straight to the power amp which you'd use for plugging in an external preamp or jamming with a CD (assuming it's parallel with the other inputs). The line in/out connectors on this amp work like the effects send / return on most amps.

The 0db / -6db inputs are like the high / low inputs on a Master Volume Marshall or 5150. You'll probably want to plug into the 0db input unless it's too dirty.
