Was the Phat Staple already a Custom Shop pickup that was just offered to the bros at a lower price, or was it designed along with input from the user group?
Every love that made me lose my reasoning. Every chord that made my conscience ache. Every day spent counting hours. Well, none of them comes close to singing back a song inside my head.
I remember calloused hands and paint-stained jeans, and I remember safe-as-houses self-belief.

The Phat Staple was offered to user group members as an introduction when it because a product. I think since nobody ever got one into any neck cavity the commercial outlook wasn't great [<== looks at his prepared router and the black LPC].
The StraBro90 was before and the last actual forum pickup, although you can also buy it in the CS.

I vote single coil sized bucker first and foremost. Lets do something different!
......or the 24 fret neck bucker we've lusted after forever.
You'll use it, boy, and as long as you hate using it, you will use it more wisely than most men would. Wait. If ever you don't hate it any longer, then will be the time to throw it as far as you can and run the other way.”

I'm gonna get that 'bucker sized 'Tron, dammit!
Edit: also, T90

^ A regular bucker placed in 24 fretted instrument never sounds thick or warm enough compared to 22 fretted one, mainly because it's closer the bridge, which makes it brighter and some of the overtones also get displaced. That's my general understanding. So a customized 24th fretted neck bucker would bring the tone closer to a regular bucker installed in 22 fretted instrument.

I'm using the two GFS blade neck models in the bridges of guitars. They're medium output and they sound great with no volume drop off that I'd normally get with standard spaced screws/slugs. If SD was to make a 10k-11k pickup like that, people could use it in the bridge or in the neck paired with a Custom, Distortion, JB, Dimebucker, etc.

Exactly. I mean we all realize it won't sound JUST like 22 fret neck slot and I don't want it to, truth is though that most SD PAFs lack the body for a neck pup in a 24 fret guitar...IMO. That said last week I dropped a PG(b) in the neck of my CU24 and it sounded really nice.

Just a suggestion, but I'd probably limit the rest of the poles to 4 days or so from here on out. If we go a week between each pole, it could take 3 months to finish this thing up.
