I don't have any problem with it Kojak maybe you should brush up on your reading skills. I've said a few times and I'll say it again. I could care less what the end result is. If it's cool, I'll buy one. If not, then I won't. Most of my posts in this thread have been made to try and get people to keep an open mind and not get hung up one what THEY want to see in a custom shop pickup.

Post all the specs you want. I really don't care. But when everyone starts doing it, people start getting butthurt because others don't like their specs, and then the arguments ensue. You've been here long enough to have been through these before. You know it's going to happen, why provoke it?

Either which way. You won't hear anything else from me. You and Blueman can have the pickup lounge back. Just the way you like it. I'll just keep my posts to myself and vote on what interests me. Humbucker is going to win this round, so I really see no reason to come back to this thread.

Sorry to all the guys that want sth different but after taking into account the configuration of my guitars, I have in total 12 humbucker slots versus 5 single coil slots, then taking further into consideration that from them, only one slot is taken by a previous SDUGF-HB (Crazy 8) as opposed to two that are taken by a a previous SDUGF-SC (StraBro 90) plus I have an unused 3rd (I bought the set and put them in a HSS Strat) I'd say that there's more room for a GREAT HB than even an awesome SC.

In fact, I have many SD bridge pus that I love (Crazy 8, Custom 8, Alt 8, see a pattern here?) that I'd actually be more interested in an amazing neck pu (there's only so many Jazzes and Suhr Aldriches I can put in my guitars, I have the '59 in two and can reaffirm that it's not to my taste).

Not to mention that I have a Michael Kelly Patriot that still has *GASP* THE STOCK neck pu

BTW, LtKojak, last time we went by specs (Custom 8) there were multiple successive polls.
First the form-factor of pickup, then the type, then the target Ohm-age ballpark, then the magnet type and pole-pieces type.
Next time we focused the polls strictly by intended purpose, leaving the geek-stuff (that we all normally love to fuss over) to Seymour and MJ.

Both methods worked beautifully IMHO so I can see it go either way.

FWIW, I'd LOVE a HH set but won't push out of respect to the people at SD that give us this wonderful opportunity, I don't want (any of us) to appear ungrateful by asking for more than they would be willing to offer.
I WOULD however jump at the chance were they to offer it by themselves though

    OK,
I'm going to close this poll a bit early. We have a clear humbucker bias and I don't think a few more hours are going to make a difference.

    Watch for the next poll!
