Peavey Mark IV Bass Head. For $75 I gave it a shot. Works great, three pots need lubrication or replacement. Going to open it soon to get the dust out & fix the pots. Anyone ever use one of these???

Never heard one.
Do you play bass at all.?
Plug it into a guitar cab and see how it sounds with a guitar.
Nothing ventured.....Nothing gained.
best
no, but I was thinking of buying one at one point, certainly you found the right price point, and it should have enough wattage, every bassist knows they are a great deal and killer entry level head

They sound decent but tend to be not the most reliable when used for work horse duty. They seem to go ok for 2 or 3 years then they start having heat problems. If your not planning on gigging heavy with it it should be fine. Even if you do gig heavy for 75 bucks it would be worth it if it lasted you only a year or 2
"It keeps you fit - the alcohol, nasty women, sweat on stage, bad food - it's all very good for you." -Bon Scott
"Let me put it this way: the 5150 will treat
you better than any girlfriend, because it screams louder, it's easier to pick up, and it shuts up when you take your plug out." -Rip Glitter

I assume you mean a 400 series MK IV...like this??
If so cool old head...decent tone and well made...know a cat that ran those for years with no issues.
Loud as all get out too if you run the right cabs...

My band's bassist uses one of those most of time. I think his amp is older than me.
