Well I just was not clicking with that Fender Ash Strat that i picked up a few weeks back, so I traded it for something a little different.

they are expensive for sure! I traded in my strat and had to give the guy at the shop some extra cash for the Charvel. He had it up for $1300. Took my about 4 hours to get the whole guitar set up once I got it back to my house. The floyd took a little while to dial in, but plays like a dream now. Sounds freakin awesome with the CC in the bridge!

From what ive read, the only thing that Charvel actually made for these guitars was the neck and neck plate. The bodies are just standard Fender Strat bodies with duncan pickups and floyds

I don't think that's right- since all Jackson and Charvel bolt ons have a wider neck pocket- 2 1/4", compared to Fender's 2 3/16". Also, it's bound to have the Charvel triangular control route.

Then again, if Fender bought Jackson/Charvel, at the time, there really isn't much difference between taking a slab of alder out of the bin and putting it on one of Fender or Jackson's CNC Machines
