    It's a freak of nature, but given the width and thickness of his rack and condition of his pelt, I'd also say he's very old.

    To answer your question, these are, as B-Bent quite rightly alluded to, Texas Scientifically engineered "Uberbucks".
    The one in the picture is bred to be hunted in enclosed ranches, and I think he cost some exhorbitant uberbucks price for some fat cat. I want to say one million dollars, but probably one hundred Thousand, not sure cause I can't remember.

    high fence deer farm studs.... talk about pricey.... they live their whole life inside a stress free hand fed environment... Studding out their offspring to help trophy outfitters populate their trophy sized ranches....

    They are great creatures to behold.
