    I have considered that guitar before, i would've liked it more in Cherry Burst with a White pickguard tho. although a very nice guitar! i bet its very versatile as well

    That's pretty cool. I'm not a huge fan of the chintzy Fender hardtail bridge, but you could throw a better one on there no problem.

    Doesn't Gearjoneser have one of these?
    For him who struck thy foreign string,
    I ween this heart hath ceased to care;
    Then why dost thou such feelings bring
    To my sad spirit - old Guitar?

    Even so, Guitar, thy magic tone
    Hath moved the tear and waked the sigh;
    Hath bid the ancient torrent moan
    Although its very source is dry.

    Beautiful. Functionally, a bit too much unlike "A Tele" to me, but I can dig it aesthetically and understand why someone else would play one.

    I don't even talk about it much here, because I'd like to see the model come and go.

    The truth is....I LOVE this exact model guitar, which comes in honeyburst or dark brown.
    It's hard to believe it's a pine guitar Crafted in China......the first of the Chinese Fenders.

    Of course, I accidentally picked a gem.....one with perfect wood grain and a killer neck. It was the first one I spotted in LA, and I fell in love with it instantly for some reason. It's the cheapest guitar I own, and one of my main players.

    Here's the deal with it. The pickups aren't bad, but you can do better. The pots and knobs are total crap...I put 500K solid shaft CTS in mine. Vintage dome knobs. I actually like the bridge and tuners just fine. They seem closer to US than MIM.

    Here's where it gets Chinese haha. I'm wondering if the neck pocket depth is different from MIM and US. Other tele pickguards don't line up right, so it put an end to some of my modding ideas. Also, it's routed HSS, so you can't easily put a hum or mini hum in there. I have to see if regular Fender screws fit the holes, because the screw heads on the stock screws look slightly bigger.

    All this aside, the neck is a slim C that feels great. Very high quality, and spec'd really good....9.5/22fret.

    I'm currently testing a lot of pickups in it, looking to settle on the perfect set. I'm sticking with the HST configuration for now, but it's all Duncan.

    This was new. Now there's a nickel C5 in the nickel ring...all tarnished, and a less country western looking strap.

    Look ma, nothing but Fender Telecaster...no cheese.

    I don't know why they didn't just go with a strat neck pickup?

    My band mate has one of these.

    Plays nice but the frets are too small for me.

    And the bridge pickup is noisy and too bright.

    We threw an A8 in there and it helped a lot.

    But he's gonna switch to a JB.
