how's that lovecraft obsession working out?

It was refreshing to see Australians abroad, sober. I almost didn't recognise them.

When this forum talks about getting wood, we're usually thinking of flamed maple.

I reckon I might send Lizzie a bill for back rent. The old girl's family have been living in my bloody castle for the last 500 years.
Awesome. Just ignore the chanting outside your window tonite. Just close your eyes and go to sleep. No worries.

+1 on the orville by gibson, and certain grecos and burnys
but considering that the OP's a young guy (still at school?), i think the edwards could be a good way to go.
the assumed knowledge re learning about all the asian LP copies, finding some decent ones, and not getting ripped off in buying one is considerable.
and aside from leaning towards tall frets, i don't see where the edwards doesn't fit the bill
new or used is the real difference IMO

So ignoring Internet Myth for a moment, what facts does anyone possess regarding "weight relieved" Les Pauls directly relating to the process' effect on tone?
I'm not talking about the LesPaul Lights from the 80s (travesty that they were), either.

It would be pretty hard to get any conclusive data. You'd have to build each guitar first as a solid body, then with weight relief. There's too much variability within wood of even the same tree to get meaningful outcome just comparing a couple of chambered and solid guitars next to one another.

I'd love to have a LP style guitar, but it is highly unlikely that I would ever spend the $$$ for the real deal. I wouldn't play it often enough to justify the expense.
Agile guitars are sweet looking. I dig ESP as well.
What is the price of the Edwards?
