KeeperOS expressed concern that..."two different magnets cannot coexist in the same pickup", but P-90s have been doing this for decades with great success.
Not only is that the case in P90's, but the poles of the two magnets are at opposition to each other. I wouldn't guess that a blade magnet and a PA magnet (a bar magnet below the poles, right?) would interact with each other in a negative way.

My best educated guess would be that they use a wooden spacer between the coils in the middle and use a half bar magnet on the axis side of the pickup where your average plastic spacer would be. Kind of like the X2N has ceramic half bar mags for spacers.

Well I have to call MJ this week to ask about the matched set, so I'll ask about the magnets as well. I'm going to be busy tomorrow and don't know if I'll be in before they leave for the evening, but Tuesday is for sure.

What else is there vote on? I think we got the neck specs pretty well down other than magnets, but IMO, I think we should give MJ what specs we have and let her decide what magnet is going to work best. Same goes for the bridge model.

This works. If you can make that call and report your findings, I'll run the magnet poll (if needed) after.
