Nice. I've never tried a Screamin' Demon but this and the recent Yamaha Pacifica video have got me tempted.
Anyone got any views on the Demon in a Les Paul bridge position?
My hair gets longer as the beat gets stronger

Someone please go put "percussive" in place of "purcussive" and "versatile" instead of "versitile."
Great video! That guy can really play. Love it. And Simon, it's definitely got me thinking about getting one for the neck of my LP. Bridge is all set, and if it's not, it's getting a PATB-1.
that guy on the demo is using waaayyy too many effects on his tone to hear what the pickup really sounds like![]()

Love the `demon! Right now it is actually my favourite neck `bucker. Alot of you guys voted for "thick and articulate" in the user group forum polls; that is exactly what the 'demon is in the neck position!

Yes it is. In the neck it's as clear as a bell and the lows are just huge.
In the bridge it's just pure Rock. Crunchy, tight, clean.
The best of single coils and humbuckers, rolled into one pickup.

I threw one in the bridge of a newer Destroyer along with an old Alnico II in the neck. Killer rock tones from the guitar now. This is probably my all-time favorite pickup for rock.

I dream of a better world, where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned

That is one thing the Demon does well though... sound clear, even if you are running too many effects.

I had one in the bridge of one of my LPs and loved it to death. It replaced a 59. It sounded amazing!! So much better than the 59...more mids, warmer, a bit more output, beautiful rich and full clean tones, very articulate, and handled every stomp that I placed in its path.
Then I got interested in P-90s, so I changed the Demon to the neck (replacing a Pearly Gates of all things which I really loved) and put the P-90 in the bridge. And I found that I loved the Demon in the neck every bit as much as I did in the bridge, and liked it even more that the Pearly, if you can believe that.
The Demon has remained there for three or four years now.
I've recently purchased another Demon and created two more hybrids: a C/Demon with a UOA5 for the bridge; and a 59/Demon for the neck (I think I used an A5 in that one, maybe a UOA5). Both are mounted in Triple Shots. Those are REALLY fantastic pups...warm and full sounding, but airy and clean with expanded EQ range. I can split to the Custom screw coil next to the bridge for great warm single coil tones. The neck pup (59/Demon) sounds so good in series mode that I rarely have a desire to split it. If I ever have need of a Triple Shot in another guitar, I'm gonna run this neck hybrid full hum with a standard ring.
What a great sounding and versatile pup. One of Seymour's best, IMO.
