I was just yankin your chain. But having owned MIA/MIJ jacksons and charvies BITD, newer low end Jacksons are not even on the same planet. Save up for the real deal(sniffin corks I am).

I'm an internet person. All we do is waste time evaluating things that have next-to-zero real world significance.
Remember, it's just a plank of wood. YOU have to find the music in it - The Telecaster Handbook
Did they move production away from India? They don't share factories with Schecter AFAIK. Schecter has guitars made in Korea, maybe China/Indonesia, Japan, and the US.
Jackson makes its guitars in India and the US that I know of. Chushin Gakki closed late last year so no more MIJs since.

oh wow, those are super nice! Binding or no binding, they still look killer.

to be honest i didnt look close at the photos, and i really didint know Jackson made a cheaper line. I guess i kind of assumed they were the top end ones that we all love. I just saw red flame soloists and achieved wood. Thats what happens when you use your small brain instead of your big one!

Pointy MATCHING headstocks!
Dunno what you guys think but these don't look like the India-made X series guitars to me. All the X series higher end models are neck-thru and these looks like bolt-on. Won't make sense to put stock Seymour Duncans on low end guitars. Maybe, just maybe, they started making guitars in Japan again??? It would be awesome...
^ All Soloists, and higher-end Rhoads, King V, Kelly, Warrior, and Mark Morton models are neck-through. All Dinky models have bolt-on necks, from the entry-level models through USA Select and Custom Shop.
And BTW, holy crap those things look nice. Thanks for posting a full pic.

This is the one..this is THE one!!!

ITS OVER NOW. THE SPURS CANNOT BE BEAT TWICE IN A ROW !
^ No doubt about it, Jer, a USA Soloist is balls-to-the-wall freakin' awesome!
Nice Jacksons!! I love the color! Definitely not your ordinary Jacksons!![]()

The full photo was on Jackson's facebook page. They are asking for opinions on binding vs no binding on the body. IMO it looks nicer with the binding.
These look WAY different from what's being currently offered on the X Series. All the "higher" X Series guitars, regardless of the model, share the same features: neck-thru, bound neck/headstock, sharkfin inlays and active EMGs. They basically use the same neck for everything (on a production point of view).
These guitars are totally different, even the control locations are unique. If they have Seymour Duncan pickups as stock then they must be on the same price range. Won't make sense to put a bolt-on with a stripped down neck along the bound-with-sharkies neck-thru guitars. I personally prefer the bolt-ons but I know I'm a minority in that subject.
That's why I'm thinking they're being made somewhere else, maybe Japan or Korea. These remind me of the old MIJ Jacksons from the MG and PRO 3 series. Most of them where bolt-ons with similar aesthetics and were around that price range and had Seymour Duncans. The MIJ neck-thrus where considerably more expensive.
Or,,, maybe I'm thinking about this to much haha. Wherever these are made, I'd love to see them with an alder or poplar body. That'll be a sweet guitar.
