Default Suhr Adrich comparisons and Epi LP maple top pickup choices

I had a Les Paul custom (ebeony) that I put a '59 in the neck and a Suhr Doug Adrich in the bridge. I LOVED the tone of both pickups... That guitar came alive after I installed those p/u's in it. Unfortunately, it was stolen, and now I have just picked up an older EPI LP Custom with the figured maple top in the wine red finish. Its a beautiful guitar, but no where near the guitar I had, though I love how it looks better. I heard the ebony Customs are solid mohogany, NO maple top. My new Wine red Epi, obviously has the maple top, which makes the guitar's tone brighter. This thing SHRILLS Treble! I would like to know what SD pickup would best match the Suhr Aldrich in the bridge, and is the '59 still a good choice for the neck? I LOVE the tone I had with the '59... found myself playing more and more solos with that pickup instead of the bridge. Can anyone help? I just would like as close tones from tis guitar as my old one, smooth, round highs and that PAF tone without killing the ears.. less treble

If you have the money, drop some 300k volume pots in there and buy another Aldrich set. The Aldrich neck is super smooth. Great for big, sexy solos. I love that set in les Paul's

IIRC Only the LP Customs from the '50s and the historic '50s reissues have the solid mahogany body. The rest of the customs have maple tops. Even the black ones.

Just installed some new CTS 500K's, though I thought about the 250's or 300K's. Had 500K's in the old one.. How would you compare the Aldrich neck p/u to the SD '59n ? I absolutely love how it sounded, but am open to checking out the Aldrich when I can. I would like to get the gold plated version on both p/u's, looks so great on the wine red finish. But CHA-CHING !!! , thus the reason I am looking for something at a more reasonable cost... for now

The Aldrich neck is pretty fat in the mids, smooth but articulate treble and a tight, well defined bass. It's got an alnico 5 mag and wound to around 9k. Its super fat and smooth, but pretty well defined. One of my favorite LP neck pickups for liquid lead solos. Excellent for blues, classic rock and high gain stuff.

What ever tech gave you that info is wrong. The original LP customs were all Mohogany, but today, only the historic RI models are all Mohogany. All other regular production custom shop LP customs have maple tops.....the white ones, the black ones, the red ones....lol

The brobucker is from the custom shop and the '59/custom hybrid is one pickups. Has one coil from the Duncan '59 and one from the Duncan custom. So it'll literally a cross of the two, thus the 'hybrid' name

They could also make you a custom pickup that would be similar to the suhr Aldrich if u wanted to have your own custom made pickup.
