If anyone says the Humbucker From Hell be aware it only sounds like a single coil with a maple fretboard. If it's rosewood or ebony it just sounds dark and weak.

The Z-coils from a G&L Comanche are humbucking, yet they have a distinctively single-coil clarity. Not sure they would fit in a PAF-style slot. A totally unique pickup--not a vintage alnico tone; not a PAF tone--but a great pickup for creating your own tone.

When you've had budget guitars for a number of years, you may find that your old instrument is holding you back. A quality guitar can inspire you to write great songs, improve your understanding of the Gdim chord while in the Lydian Mode, cure the heartbreak of cystic acne--and help you find true love in the process.
