    Evan PM'ed me today saying that the blade coil bobbin can be sandblasted to give it a matte finish. Making it look more like the PATB bobbin's finish.



    Do we want glossy or matte?

    Any chance of white or parchment (matte or gloss)?

    This is a tough choice. I kind of like the matte bobbin. However, I also think the mismatch is kind of cool. It gives it a little bit of a "black zebra" look. I'm gonna think a day before voting.

    Also, any word on whether an open trim ring will fit around the PA coil? I'm talking about rings like so:

    Like Evan said, you can have any color you want as long as it's black. SD only gets PA bobbins and full size rail bobbins in black.

    im thinking no on both accounts. patb doesnt come in white and i have to assume the rail coil is too big for that surround

    Has it been determined if the original concept is going to be the neck or the bridge of the set? If it's going to be the bridge then I will only be wanting a neck. Does that even make sense? The guitar I have set for these needs a hot bridge pickup.
