A question about the custom mounting ring - I'm assuming this is to square off the PA coil end, and hopefully not major surgery.
Would the same thing work (or even be necessary) on a Triple Shot pickup ring? With a pickup this unique it'd be cool to have easy access to all those sounds, but I don't know if the squaring off would hit any of the switches, board or wiring.
I've got a PRail bridge + Triple Shot in one guitar (Melody Maker reissue) and it's really handy having all those options.

"Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished." Isaiah 13:16
"Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." Numbers 31:17-18
Knuckle Sandwich? Maybe I'm just hungry.
We already have El Diablo how about Magic Man? Ricky Bobby anyone?
My only other suggestion would be PollBucker, because that's the only way we chose this pups specs.
PollBucker
Knuckle Sandwich
Magic Man (it's a little gay though).

How about Mjölnir? You know, Thor's Hammer.

everyone is referring to it as a knuckle duster, brass knuckles, things of that sort. Let's push it to its maximum and call it:
The Seymour Duncan Gauntlet

The Gauntlet, that's cool.
+1
Yep, that's good.

Who ever is in charge of making polls, I would like to request an official name poll for the Pickup. That being said, I would like to enter the name "the gauntlet" and include every vote given for it.
Thanks,
Oven-man

I really like Gauntlet. It's like we made a challenge for the Custom Shop to make an awesome pickup with the odd set of parameters we set.

that's what I'm talkin about!

The Gauntlet? Really? Are they going to come with pink tights to?
MJ has named these forum run pickups in the past. I'd like to hear what her thoughts for a name are.
Also, hate to be a downer here but again, in the past you had to be a registered member prior to the polls starting to get in on the forum specials. I don't know if that has changed for this run or not.

I don't see you coming up with any names yourself.
Who knows, I'd rather try than just sit back and watch
I'm not making the connection. What do pink tights have to do with a name like "The Gauntlet"?
This is what I think of:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gauntlet_%28glove%29

The Gauntlet actually fits very well. But in the forums, we shall still refer to it as either The Gauntlet of The Fuglybucker.

The pink tights was my tongue in cheek way of saying The Gauntlet is pretty sissy name for a pickup. It's a steel glove. I don't even see how that relates to this particular pickup. The steel mitten of DooMz lol!
As for sitting back and not trying for a name. Sure it's fun to make up names for a new pickup. That's all I'm doing it for, is for fun. Even though we've had some good and funny names come up, Maricela has named each forum pickup we've done. I think we'd be breaking tradition if we did it any other way.

Yep, all in fun, but I do like the gauntlet, n00b originated or not.
