thats too broad of a question. Depends on what the guitar is.......

    I like:
the CC in floyded super strats and the Custom or Custom 8 in Les Pauls
    2009 Gibson Les Paul Custom
    2006 Charvel San Dimas RI
1986 Laney AOR "Pro Tube" 100MV
Majik Box Doug Aldrich "Rocket Fuel"

Well, I haven't heard any of the custom hybrids really but from the regular Customs, Custom 8 for sure, then again I have it in an Ash Stratty guitar and haven't really tested it in HT or Floyd guitars whereas the Custom 5 and Custom were in those types of guitars respectively. Also haven't tried a Custom Custom (A2).

That's how I listened it as well, I liked the Custom a lot but the C8 has that more organic, fuller feel to it. I like it a lot

I've not used all the pups in the survey, but the ones that I have used are great. However, the C5/59A5b and 59/Jazzn combo in a 93 Hamer Special has ended my bucker search. For now...

Man this is like being asked "Which pair of boobs is your favorite" Making me pick just one... for all types and applications just no bueno.

C/59 hybrid is becoming my favorite. I own one of the first ones Bach to Rock made.

I also like the Unoriented Roughcast Custom 5, because it's like having a Dun-Aged C5.

I've been a fan of the Custom Custom for a long time. It's great in Strats/Superstrats.

    Custom 8!!!!!

I agree that its hard to pick one pup without listing a guitar, but... I love the C8 in an explorer, trem loaded axes and love it in many applications.
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

I still have not had a chance to try and A8 in my custom yet, but through my les paul I am preferring the ceramic custom. I tried an A2 and an A5 and did not prefer either of them to the ceramic. But none of the ones I have tried yet have sounded bad.

from that list, C8, but I'm really digging the Custom4 as well. Very much the same kinda thing as the C8 but lower output, more classic PAF sounding, complete with the growly low-mids

Of the ones listed, the C8. But I have more UO C5's in my guitars than C8's.

I have one CC (SH-11) intact. All the Customs and C5's (SH-5 and SH-14) have long since incurred mag changes to UOA5's or A8's.

Of what I have heard the C8, but I can't vote because I have never attempted the Custom /JB hybrid and I love the idea. With a thick magnet.

custom/jb hybrid with ceramic or A8 mag. then the custom 8.

C8 is looser and chewier and very pleasing to the ear

the hybrid is more aggressive and has a fuller tone with more lead tone to it.

both are very very nice pickups

Although I still do consider the stock custom "ole reliable"

What about "Air" Custom with the keeper bar removed?
