Question How does a tapped hot rail sound?

I have a hot rail in the bridge of a strat. The other 2 pickups are stock. I like the fatter sound. If I tap it , how close to a strat tone can I expect? Also, will it Quack in the #2 position?

    welcome to the forum!!

when you split it, youll get a brighter lower output tone. it wont sound like a traditional single coil but itll be closer to that type of sound than the series coils. you will get better quack split as well
