I wanted to make this guitar scream women are strong. so, rosie is born. I realize the traditionalist out there is gonna freak cause I put a waterslide on the body of a guitar. Oh well. Me.

I'd say conceived more than born. It ain't born until its neck, strings and all the bits are all together and accounted for

looks cool though. Looks a lot more copper than red now...was that intentional?

The metal flake definitely comes out more now too.

Screw the traditionalists. If they want a guitar that doesn't have a decal, they can build their own.

This guitar will be unique and it will have personality. Most importantly, it will be yours through and through, and that's a feeling that money can't buy. Enjoy it.

    Nice.

I am not an expert on this, but I don't think it would be any different than the usual requirements for a clear coat. If you sand through the clear, it doesn't really matter what's under it. I believe when I originally did my Warmoth I did ten fairly light coats. That was a long time ago though. Hopefully someone with more finishing experience will chime in.

Thanks. I put one coat over rosie today. weather is gonna suck tomorrow so next pretty day Ill try to shoot about 4 or 5 more. then try to catch one last day to get about 4 or 5 more in. I know most people say they usually use about 2 to 2 1/2 cans of rattle clear. Where I did the gold ghost shimmer layer Id think I have about 5 coats on there. roughly about 12 oz or so. when all is said and done thats about a quart of lacquer on there. about 12oz in the mid coats and about 12 or lil more in the final clears. Could be overkill but better safe than sorry.

Iconic image inna dat sticker LM.

And anyone who doubts women aren't strong is free to piss of my wife then hang around for what happens next, I'll be elsewhere - (she doesn't get mad often, but when she does ~brrrr~ even the cat hides)

Digging the single p/u, is that gonna be a string through body or right through the top of the bridge ?

its a string thru body. Lord knows most calm women when they get pushed too far..well they can be a bit of a handful. Id have to say Im probably the same way. It is indeed an icon. I think back to what it represents and how the state of the nation was then.

Yes, I'm sure, but it's no big deal. Famous means nothing special, just that a lot of people know everything about you that you don't want them to know

Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

It says Endicott Customs (hillbilly caster) on the back. The color does shift. it is copper but when light hits it just right it turns gold.
