Zakk on Duncans?!

Just saw a picture of Zakk on NAMM.
He is holding a special bullseye guitar.

I discovered Duncans on them.
Anybody knows which Duncan he uses (DD?)?

That guitar is a one of a kind Razorback special made for Zakk at Dime´s wish (the thread with those pics is on the Dean Forum BTW, really great series). Pickups are Dimebucker /´59, and until about this time last week Zakk had NO IDEA that he was getting one at all.

Zakk is an EMG 81/85 user, and it doesn´t look like that´s changing anytime soon

Speaking of the Razorback, anyone seen any place that has prices online?

My info is that MSRP is in the range of 4k for the USA Tribute Razorback. All of the others, Razorback or ML, are imports and should fall under 1000.

When I saw the title i was like YEAH RIGHT!... and yeah.. Zakk stile uses EMG's and he probably always will. That's awesome that he got that Bullseye Dimebag guitar, very badas$.
I'm sure he will leave the Duncan's in that guitar, along with the Duncan's he has in his Randy Rhoads guitar.
I don't blaim Zakk for sticking with something that works. I'm glad he found something that works for him.

Wondered me a bit as well. But supposedly the Neck on Zakk´s is a ´59 like Dime used, as it will be in Eddie´s (VH) when it´s completed.

Wouldn´t surprise me if Eddie´s is "Striped" BTW, as Dime commisioned those 2 axes to be built for them before hi8s untimely death

A bit offtopic but if you enter the Dean website choosing broadband you hear a song. I like it, does anyone know which band that is? Could perhaps be Damageplan or something I don't really know since I've been off the heavier stuff for quite some time now haha

Stylistically I can hear some Dime in the playing, but the tone seems off, not thick OR searing enough, and missing chunk.......just too "tame"....

I haven´t heard the full Damageplan CD (Shame on me), but if it IS Dime it definitely isn´t "typical" work

i think Zakk has got enough respect for the people that gave him his guitars that he's keeping them stock. i know i would too, no matter which pups were in em. if they're duncans, it would rock even more!
