    Default need a pre-slotted 12 string nut

i just won an epi 12 string neck from ebay, but it is in need of a nut.

i'd really like to find a preslotted nut so i don't have to do it myself or pay someone else to do it.

if anyone knows where i can find one i will be forever grateful.

You can get them from Graph Tech. Check out their website.

Chances are, you'll at least have to have a tech file the slots so that the string height is correct at the nut. Pre-slotted nuts aren't usually perfect right out of the gate. Most of them are designed for jumbo frets, because you can always file the slots lower, but you can't easily make them higher. If your guitar has smaller frets, plan on having to file the slots down to the correct height.

filing it down (if necessary) doesn't really bother me. filing the entire thing does.

thanks for the advice though. i'll have to check it out when i get the neck/nut.
