they got three new models for the freeway series, but this is the most amazing one, its got hotter pickups, and its floyd equiped.
this thing looks like godin's entry into the "metal" guitar deal

that detour fixed bridge looks nice but it's made of maple and poplar that's gotta be one fairly bright sounding guitar.

eh, i am not to crazy about the detour persoanlly, i think its just a cheaper version of the freeway?

they are the same guitar made of the same material just one has a floyd a 3 different pickups the other is a fixed bridge with 2 hums. i just don't like floyds esp. cheap floyds that never stay in tune lol that's why i like the detour better.

i am not big on floyds either, infact i dont like em much at all, but its cool that there expanding the freeway series, the classic has an extremely nice hendrix-esque neck pup sound.

EDIT: and yes they are quite bright.
