I`m worried about this pickups tightness. Is it tight enough for metal-style fast palm muting ?

If I were white trash, I'd get "I <3 The Invader" tattooed on my arm It's my favorite Duncan pickup, and possibly my favorite pickup ever. Lots of people think it's muddy, but I have never had a problem with it. Sounds great in just about any guitar, but alder is incredible.

I play every type of metal/hardcore/screamo/etc... imaginable, and it works for them all. BTW, I use it by itself, no neck pickup.
Buy the book in my avatar. It's pretty cool.

I'd get a way vintage-voiced single-coil so that your Jagstang isn't a one-trick pony. People say Hot Rails and Invader are really similar-sounding and I dunno about you, but i like my pickup selector switch to actually give me a different sound. Try like an SSL-1 or somethin

There is literally no rig more rock-n-roll than that.
