    Default Just tried SD 5/2's

I got a set of 5/2's and put them in my MIJ Strat last weekend. They were replacing the Dimarzio blue velvets M/N and a Tele brdge. WOW those sound good. I like the way that the highs are not so ice picking and the low end is still nice and crisp. I like the blue velvet better in the bridge positon, the 5/2 bridge just didn't have enough punch for me.

I don't understand why Dimarzio would make one pickup for all positions when the bridge is a little bit longer. I liked the sound of the blue velvet but in the mddle and neck the poles dont match up with the high e and b string so they tend to roll off a little early.

    An underrated pickup IMO.
