    Default P/ups for punk rock?

I play in a punk band (and use and invader which sounds very fat with not too much gain), and my mate who also plays is looking to upgrade his bridge pickup, we want to try and keep our sounds separate so can anyone suggest any pickups that are good for punk? (from other companies as well as SD)

Obvoiusly being punk it doesnt have to sound perfectly beautiful, he needs quite a raw sound that can also sound pretty powerful and give him a fair bit of feedback.

    Thanks in advance.

I play punk myself, I have my gutiars setup with a SD JB and DiMarzio Super Distortion.

Or atleast that's what I use.

If you want sound samples, early Nirvana was all Super Distortion, later (about '93 on I think) Nirvana was all JB.

I would say a JB, but your comment that the Invader doesn't have much gain has me a bit puzzled.

sorry tatooed carrot, looking back i can see how that is confusing, what i meant was the i get the fat sound i like from my invader without having to use too much gain.
