    Default AC30 question!

Can anyone tell me... If you plug into the non-Top Boost channel of a Top Boost AC30, are you playing through an identical circuit to that found in a non-Top Boost AC30?

I think so. From what I understand, Brian May does plug into the normal or tremolo channel...not the Top Boost channel. He uses a booster to drive that channel a little harder...I think it's some off brand treble boost called a Rangemaster or something. I know nothing about it. I have gotten a great tone with a AC30 driving either the Top Bosst channel or one of the other channels with a TS-9. Got the same kind of violin tone. Those are killer, KILLER amps...but they are very loud and weigh a ton! Lew

    Thanks, Lew!

Yeah, I actually like the non-Top Boost AC30 sound more than the Top Boost (which makes me pretty alone... me and Brian May, I guess... tee hee), but they aren't reissuing those, 'cause everybody else wants Top Boost. I'm trying to confirm that I can really get the non-Top Boost sound I prefer out of a Top Boost reissue.
