Anyone use covers on their PG's?

I happened across a 76 Explorer that I love and want to drop in a pair of PG's. I also want to use the original gold pup covers.

I'm curious if anyone has done this and what the result was.

I use covers on my PG's. I wax pot them using Gearjonesers method. Look in the vault, under Stratdeluxer97 ( John Spina ). He has a couple methods outlined there. Or, PM Gearjoneser. GJ's method is awesome and easy.

What exactly will potting do for them.
