    Default patb-1 or patb-2 ?

I'm looking for a replacement pickup in my poplar Mexican fat strat with a Floyd Rose. It 's a very bright sounding guitar and I play through a 5150 combo (bright and cutting). I would like a smoother sound that is still powerful . Would a patb-1 be the right choice or a patb-2 (distortion)?

I have tried an emg 81 (too sterile) a tone zone (too much for the 5150) an a tb-4 jb trembucker (a bit too bright). Any opinions would help a lot

    thanks

+1, unless you want REALLY powerful, which the PATB-2 apparently is.
