Right now I'm very content with my rig. From just my amp I can get great tones for blues, classic rock, modern rock, and metal. I can get clean jazz tones as well. The one tone that I'd really like to get and can't from my current rig is a thick, liquid, sustaining, violin-like overdrive for jazz/fusion. Yes, reminiscent of "the D-word". I've read accounts of pedals being able to get in the ballpark (which is really all I can ask for, considering my budget
), most recently the HAO Rumble Mod.
I was wondering if you guys had any experience with pedals that helped get near this type of tone. I realize I'll probably be looking into the "boutique" market and that they will be priced accordingly.
